My journey into the world of floristry began as a high school student, taking on my very first job at a local flower shop. I never would’ve imagined that opportunity would ignite a spark that would shape the course of my future. While pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at the University of Kansas, I kept feeling the pull of creativity & decided to enroll in the floral design program at Johnson County Community College, earning my certificate a year later. This opened the doors to all the fields within the event industry. I was immediately drawn to the idea of transforming spaces & creating atmospheres that leave a lasting impression.

Shortly after, I began freelancing for several florists in the area, honing my craft & expanding my repertoire. Around the same time I accepted a role as a part time event coordinator, solidifying & reaffirming my decision to exclusively practice & specialize in event design. Taking all of the experience, I decided to embark in a design venture of my own, setting the foundation for what is now known as Desi Flora.

When I’m not designing, you’ll often find me exploring new places, trying new foods, & spending time with friends & family. Above all, my faith serves as the compass in my daily life. It inspires deep gratitude for the privilege of pursuing my passions and sharing joy and beauty with others.
